Description
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health is announcing a Proposers' Day for the UNifying Imaging with QUantum Entanglement program. The planned program will investigate whether quantum-derived observables from entangled or quantum-correlated 511 keV photon pairs can provide a new biomedical imaging contrast that complements anatomical, functional, and molecular imaging. The technical effort includes an imaging core focused on quantum-correlated photon production and collection, engineered source materials and nanomaterials, quantum-aware detectors, and decoherence-aware imaging architectures. A second technical area will develop quantum-aware reconstruction, physics-informed artificial intelligence, multimodal data fusion, uncertainty quantification, and real-time interpretation of multidimensional imaging data. Future applicants are expected to address both technical areas. The Proposers' Day will include government presentations, a live question-and-answer session, optional sidebar meetings, and three-minute lightning talks for potential teaming partners. Attendance is optional and this notice is informational rather than a formal solicitation.
