Description
The City of Moline is soliciting bids for owner-occupied residential rehabilitation work at a Moline residence. The contractor must replace two nonfunctioning basement floor drains—one in the main basement room and one in the basement bathroom shower area—and bring the bathroom drain system up to code. The work includes enclosing the area to control concrete dust; removing the existing drains, damaged pipe, and P-trap; installing a code-compliant PVC P-trap assembly with backflow prevention and shielded rubber coupling; testing water flow; and replacing any collapsed, crushed, or heavily rusted underground pipe leading to the main sewer. The contractor must also restore concrete, cement, and wall framing disturbed by the work. Bidders must be licensed general contractors with the City of Moline, include labor, materials, equipment, permits, and fees, and comply with applicable codes and EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting requirements when applicable. Work must be completed within 45 calendar days of contract execution.
