Description
The Community College System of New Hampshire is soliciting a one-time heating-system glycol replacement project at Great Bay Community College. The system is a hydronic VAV system serving seven air-handling units in a four-story building, with a total system volume of approximately 2,600 gallons of water and glycol at a 40% mixture. The contractor must drain and dispose of the existing glycol in accordance with state and federal environmental regulations, circulate water and a contractor-standard cleaning chemical through the system, drain and dispose of the cleaning solution, refill the system with a 40% glycol mixture, and test water quality to confirm the system meets specifications. The glycol brand is not prescribed but must be reviewed by the college before use. On-site water, electricity, and a nearby floor drain will be available; the mechanical room is on the first floor in an attached room. The work must be completed no later than October 23, 2026. Proposals are evaluated on total cost, project approach, company experience, and project scheduling; three examples of similar past projects are required in Exhibit A. Bidders must acknowledge Addendum 1 with the Proposal Form, or the bid may be disqualified.
