Description
The City of Wilson is soliciting bids for construction of flood-mitigation improvements at Freeman Park and the surrounding neighborhood. The project includes construction and installation of a dry pond and two rain gardens, approximately 140 linear feet of 24-inch reinforced concrete storm pipe, PVC piping and fittings, a storm manhole, concrete swales, curb and gutter, sidewalk replacement, a metal grate walkway, excavation, backfill and compaction, fine grading, erosion and sediment control, seeding, mulching, demolition, traffic control, mobilization, and related appurtenances. The contract is expected to require substantial completion within 90 calendar days after the Contract Times commence and final completion within 120 calendar days. Bidders must submit a bid form with bid security, contractor licensing information, a non-collusion affidavit, an E-Verify affidavit, M/WBE documentation, and a bidder qualification statement with supporting data. The prime bidder must perform at least 60% of the work. A bid bond equal to 5% of the maximum bid price is required, and performance and payment bonds are required from the successful bidder.
