Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is soliciting competitive bids to establish one or more contracts for as-needed tire repairs and maintenance at the Brenham State Supported Living Center. Services include removing and installing tires and wheels, inspecting and cleaning hubs and mounting surfaces, installing valve stems or servicing tire-pressure monitoring systems, inflating and balancing tires, torquing wheel lugs, final inspections, disposal of old tires, and related paperwork and service reports. The contractor must respond to regular and emergency service requests within one hour and perform services generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time, with approved after-hours work available. The contractor must be located within 30 miles of the facility, provide trained personnel with at least one year of relevant experience, and submit at least three verifiable references for similar contracts performed within the last two years. Pricing must be submitted for regular-hours and outside-regular-hours service rates and parts markup, with parts markup not exceeding 20 percent. The initial contract term runs from award through August 31, 2027, with up to three one-year renewal options and a possible one-year extension.
