Description
The City of Bath Fire Department is seeking a new Type III ambulance manufactured and delivered in accordance with extensive specifications. The requested apparatus includes a 2028-or-newer Ford E-450 cutaway chassis, Type III body, LiquidSpring suspension, emergency and scene lighting, sirens, backup cameras, patient-compartment cabinetry, oxygen and suction systems, Stryker Power Load and current-model Power Cot equipment, radio and vehicle repeater systems, shoreline power, inverters, outlets, and related interior and exterior equipment. The complete apparatus must comply with the Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier Program, United States Department of Transportation KKK 1822-F standards, and current Ambulance Manufacturers Division safety standards. The manufacturer must be based and owned in the United States, have at least 10 years of continuous ambulance-construction experience, and provide a written company history, factory location, service and parts support information, and at least five qualifying New England fire-department references from the past five years. The proposal must include detailed compliance responses, the bidder's own construction specifications, a single-line total price, delivery time, service-center information, warranty terms, and two copies of full-size engineered construction drawings depicting the proposed apparatus. A 10% bid bond is required with the bid; a 100% performance bond is required after contract approval and signing, and a separate warranty bond is also specified. The completed vehicle is to be delivered to the Bath Fire Department, with the delivery date to be proposed by the bidder.
