Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is soliciting a turnkey public-works contractor to remove and replace the existing hydronic heating piping system serving all occupied floors of the Carol C. Harter Classroom Building Complex—Building B. The scope includes owner-furnished copper and steel piping; contractor-furnished fittings, valves, insulation, supports, hangers, anchors, accessories, permits, equipment, labor, and incidental materials; reconnection of existing VAV valve packages; new isolation valves; demolition and restoration of ceilings and finishes; and coordination around an occupied building and existing boiler operations. The contractor must perform pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, balancing, startup, commissioning, and closeout documentation, including testing reports, as-built drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, warranties, and final inspection documentation. Bidders must hold the required Nevada contractor licensing and State Public Works Division qualification, attend and remain for the mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk, submit through the NGEM system, provide a five-percent bid security, and comply with Nevada prevailing-wage and apprenticeship-utilization requirements. The estimated project cost is approximately $450,000, and completion is required by January 1, 2027.
