Description
Peoria County is soliciting bids for a single-prime public works contract to renovate Courtroom 321, a secured corridor, and auxiliary spaces within the Peoria County Courthouse. The scope includes selective demolition; patching and repairs; courtroom benches, casework, counters, wood paneling, ballistic fiberglass, doors, wall protection, carpeting, resilient base, painting, acoustical ceilings, toilet accessories, and other interior finishes. The work also includes modifications to lighting and lighting controls, power distribution and panelboards, data and audiovisual pathways, fire alarm and wet-pipe sprinkler systems, plumbing, HVAC distribution cleaning and balancing, and an optional wall-mounted split-system fan coil unit in the servers room. The project includes three alternates: jury deliberation room improvements, servers room improvements, and the servers room fan-coil installation. Prevailing wage requirements apply, and contractors and subcontractors must participate in approved apprenticeship and training programs. A performance bond equal to 100 percent of the contract amount is required after award, along with a labor and material payment bond of at least the contract amount.
