Description
The Town of New Portland, Maine is soliciting sealed bids for the supply of winter sand for the 2026-2027 season. The town requires approximately 2,500 cubic yards of clean, sharp 1/2 inch sand, free from foreign materials like sod, sticks, and roots. The successful contractor must consistently maintain the quality of the sand throughout the delivery process and provide a gradation sample prior to acceptance. The contractor will be responsible for delivering and loading the sand into the town's sand/salt shed facility, including providing the necessary equipment and operator. Proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance will be required at the time of contract signing.
