Description
The City of Reno is soliciting bids for removal of existing ball-field lighting at Idlewild Park and installation of a new Class III sports-lighting system. The work includes demolition and disposal of existing wood and steel light poles, concrete pole bases, fixtures, branch wiring, conduits, pull boxes, breakers, and related controls; installation of new LED sports-lighting fixtures, mounting arms, steel poles, concrete foundations, underground conduit, wiring, handholes, lighting-control boxes, and associated electrical components; and restoration of disturbed surfaces and landscaping. The system covers the east softball field, west softball field, and practice field and includes wireless lighting controls, electrical testing, photometric verification, and compliance with applicable electrical, structural, safety, licensing, prevailing-wage, apprenticeship, and public-works requirements. The contract duration is 40 working days, and the estimated bid value is $450,000 to $480,000.
