Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is soliciting bids for a prevailing-wage construction project involving the like-for-like replacement of existing exterior doors and hardware on the second floor of the William J. Raggio Building. The contractor must keep the building secure when work is unattended, maintain emergency egress routes, and sequence work to minimize disruption to classes and building operations. Work is scheduled to begin December 17, 2026, and be completed by March 29, 2027, subject to change by the owner. Work cannot occur during the December 10–16, 2026 finals testing period; preferred installation windows are December 17, 2026–January 19, 2027, or spring break in March 2027. The estimated project cost is $100,000–$200,000, with liquidated damages of $500 per day. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid job walk is required to submit a bid.
