Description
Snohomish County Public Utility District is soliciting a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for approximately five pole miles of transmission and distribution line clearance. Work includes pruning, cutting, treating, removing, clearing, chipping or disposing of trees and brush, danger-tree removal, stump herbicide treatment, and reseeding where mechanized brush equipment is used. The work will occur at specified locations throughout the District's service area, including multiple communities in Snohomish County. The contractor must be listed on the District's Small Works Roster and prequalified in Category D-1, Right-of-Way Clearing and Maintenance (Tree and Brush Work). The proposal requires a lump-sum price, separate danger-tree removal prices, and labor and equipment rates for change-order and emergency/storm work. The contractor must provide qualified line-clearance personnel, a full-time qualified site supervisor, appropriate aerial and forestry equipment, required safety and regulatory compliance, customer notifications, off-site disposal, and completion within 60 calendar days after the applicable commencement date. The engineer's estimate is $207,000.
