Description
The City of Marysville is seeking quotations from eligible contractors for the selective deconstruction, material recovery, and removal of a former 1,288-square-foot caretaker house and garage. The work includes utility disconnection and septic-tank decommissioning, asbestos-related controls and disposal, salvage and recycling of reusable building materials, removal of remaining debris, protection of park improvements, and restoration of the building site as an approximately 3,400-square-foot compacted gravel parking area. At least 51% of the structure by weight must be salvaged, recycled, or otherwise diverted from the landfill unless the City approves otherwise. Salvaged materials become the contractor's property, and the quote must account for their anticipated value. The project has an engineer's estimate of $30,000 and must be completed within 30 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with final completion required by November 15, 2026. The solicitation is restricted to contractors listed in the applicable MRSC Small Works Roster category. Payment and performance bonds equal to the full contract price, insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, permits, and required closeout documentation are required under the solicitation and contract terms.
