Description
Cache County School District intends to award a contract for Amazing Care without conducting a standard procurement process, based on a determination that the procurement may involve a sole source, significant transitional costs, or other circumstances making competition impractical and not in the district’s best interest. This is not a request for quotes, bids, or proposals. Qualified vendors may contest the proposed award during the public notice period. A response must identify the contesting person; explain the challenge in detail with documentation of competing sources; demonstrate the ability to provide a comparable or better item meeting the specifications; demonstrate the ability to provide the same proprietary item or an equivalent; and, if transitional costs are the stated justification, provide a comparison of the identified transitional costs with the vendor’s anticipated costs. If no valid challenge is received, the district may award the contract to the identified vendor without competition.
