Description
Harris County Flood Control District is soliciting bids for a pilot program involving the installation of five aerating fountains at three stormwater detention basin sites: The Hills at Sims Greenway, Tom Bass Park, and Willow Waterhole. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and supervision; fountain anchoring; control-panel installation; electrical trenching, conduit, wiring, backfill, and compaction; system testing, commissioning, startup, and site restoration. Power-source connection services will be provided by others. The contractor must provide project coordination, permitting, licensed professional electrical-engineer review and sealed approval of the fountain electrical design, manufacturer submittals and shop drawings, safety and erosion controls, testing documentation, operation and maintenance materials, warranties, as-built documentation, and final site-restoration reporting. The project has a 63-calendar-day completion period, requires at least 25% self-performance, and includes prevailing-wage, minimum-wage, bonding, insurance, safety, subcontractor, and certified-payroll obligations. Addendum No. 1 revises the project title to include all three sites and requires acknowledgment in Bonfire with each bid. A voluntary pre-bid conference was held virtually on October 13, 2026, and bids are due October 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time.
