Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service is seeking one complete 20-saw research cotton gin system or equivalent for processing small research and seed-increase cotton samples while preserving sample identity and minimizing seed damage, lint loss, and cross-contamination. The requested system must include the gin, sample feed or hopper, lint and seed separation and collection capabilities, cleanout features, saws, ribs, lint-removal mechanism, drive system, guards, electric motor, controls, emergency stop, and safety guarding. It must be compatible with the available facility electrical service and support dust or lint containment or connection to facility collection equipment. The quotation must cover all line items, including the cotton gin and tabletop gin assembly with support stand and seed box. Vendors offering an equivalent product must provide detailed comparative specifications and descriptive literature demonstrating compliance with all salient characteristics; merely stating that the product meets the requirements is insufficient. Delivery is required within 120 days after contract award and must include freight, delivery coordination, and any quoted installation, startup, or acceptance support, along with operator, maintenance, replacement-parts, warranty, and safety documentation.
