Description
The City of Carthage Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals for construction of a new 20-by-40-foot pole barn structure. The building must include three 12-foot-wide bays, 15-foot vertical clearance at each bay, a two-foot roof overhang, fully enclosed ends, and a reinforced 20-by-40-foot concrete slab at least six inches thick. The structure will support parking, charging, and movement of equipment. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and incidentals; perform necessary grading, site preparation, and compaction; meet a 20-pound snow-load requirement; use new commercial-quality materials; maintain a safe and clean work site; and restore disturbed surrounding areas. Proposals must describe the contractor’s qualifications and comparable experience, project approach, materials and structural details, roofing and concrete specifications, construction schedule, and detailed costs for labor, materials, concrete, equipment, structure installation, concrete, and subgrade work. Optional electrical service for equipment charging may also be proposed. The cost proposal must not exceed $28,000, including contingency.
