Description
The City of Springfield is soliciting bids from qualified firms for improvements at its Southwest Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope includes replacing three dewatering centrifuges and an inclined belt conveyor; improving digester mixing for one anaerobic digester; providing miscellaneous sludge-handling equipment; and improving the control room. The work also includes associated construction, equipment installation, electrical, instrumentation, process-control, testing, startup, operator training, and temporary operations needed to maintain wastewater treatment capacity during construction. The project requires electronic submission of the completed bid documents through Euna OpenBids, formerly DemandStar. A non-mandatory videoconference pre-bid conference and an on-site visit are scheduled for October 21, 2026. A bid bond is required, along with performance and labor-and-material payment bonds after award. The project has a 546-calendar-day substantial-completion period followed by 45 calendar days for final completion.
