Description
The City of Martinsburg is soliciting bids for construction of the Martinsburg Skatepark near South Spring Street and Water Street. The project includes mobilization, surveying, erosion and sediment controls, site clearing and earthwork, drainage and stormwater improvements, reinforced concrete flatwork, specialty skatepark concrete and shotcrete features, fabricated steel coping and rails, an asphalt pump track, access paths, painting, testing, site restoration, and closeout. The contractor must provide experienced personnel and specialty subcontractors as needed for skatepark layout and finishing, concrete and shotcrete, pump-track construction, and steel fabrication. The bid must include the completed bid proposal and price schedule, bid security, bidder information and certifications, project experience and references, subcontractor information, license and registration information, addenda acknowledgment, a proposed schedule, and key personnel and specialty subcontractor identifications. A bid bond or permitted bid security of at least 10 percent is required; the successful bidder must provide a performance bond for 100 percent of the contract sum. Substantial completion is required by September 1, 2027, with final completion 30 calendar days later.
