Description
Berkeley County Schools is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a new Falling Waters Elementary School. The work includes classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, kitchen, dining, associated spaces, site improvements, excavation and earthmoving, utilities, road and walkway paving, steel and masonry systems, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, mechanical systems, and other work shown in the bidding documents. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local prevailing time at 1453 Winchester Ave., Martinsburg, West Virginia. Bids must include a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid, issued by an approved surety in favor of the owner. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and labor and material payment bonds. Bidders and subcontractors must use local labor under the West Virginia Jobs Act, and contractors performing work in West Virginia must include their West Virginia contractor license number on submitted bids and executed agreements. Bidding documents are issued electronically in PDF format by McKinley Architecture and Engineering upon payment of a non-refundable $100 document access fee.
