Description
The Department of the Air Force, through Air Force Reserve Command, is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to repair and replace lighting in Facility 641 at Grissom Air Reserve Base. The work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision; removing existing fixtures; installing LED lighting and hardwired controls; connecting to existing electrical systems; and completing testing, commissioning, disposal, and related closeout requirements. Wireless controls and unlicensed wireless technologies are prohibited, and equipment cut sheets must be submitted for Government approval before purchase. The acquisition is a total small-business set-aside. Offers will be evaluated on price, two recent and relevant past-performance references, and a pass/fail technical capability statement covering the prime contractor and any proposed subcontractors or teaming arrangements. The solicitation requires a completed and signed Standard Form 1442, a Financial Institution Reference Sheet, and applicable proposal materials. A bid guarantee is not required for proposals under $150,000; awards between $35,000 and $150,000 require either a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit within 10 calendar days after award, while awards exceeding $150,000 require 100% performance and payment bonds.
