Description
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is soliciting bids for the Needham Dewatering Drainage Line, an early enabling project for the Metropolitan Water Tunnel Program. The work includes furnishing all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and other resources necessary to construct approximately 1,250 linear feet of 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe extending beneath multiple roads and a paved parking lot, discharging through an HDPE outfall pipe and rip-rap splash pad to the Charles River. The project also includes removing and replacing approximately 288 linear feet of the Town of Needham's vitrified clay sewer main, followed by pavement milling and curb-to-curb overlay in designated areas. The estimated completion timeframe is 517 days, with an estimated project cost of $15,100,000. The contract requires 7.24% MBE and 3.6% WBE participation.
