Oregon Metro is seeking a contractor to develop an Interpretive Framework guiding the future memorialization, representation, and interpretation of multiple histories connected to the Portland Expo Center site. The work must identify shared themes while ensuring that the histories of the Urban Indigenous, Japanese American, and Vanport communities are represented authentically and without diluting or subordinating any individual history. The solicitation identifies cultural interpretation, interpretive exhibits, and interpretive framework development as relevant areas. A voluntary pre-proposal conference will be held virtually, and free proposal-writing coaching is available to interested small businesses.
