Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation requires a contractor to clean residual liquid and sludge from a 15,000-gallon above-ground diesel fuel tank, dispose of the waste in accordance with Pennsylvania environmental requirements, sandblast the tank interior, vacuum blast media and dust, and apply a protective lining. The specified coating is Bar Rust 236 with a 5–6 mil dry-film thickness or an equivalent product. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, replacement parts, permits, inspections, environmental sampling and testing, required reports, and a minimum one-year limited warranty. The contractor must provide a Pennsylvania-certified TL person onsite throughout the operation, protect internal equipment during blasting and coating, complete required prevailing-wage certifications, and comply with applicable worker-protection, environmental, insurance, and safety requirements. Work must be completed by June 30, 2027. Award is intended for the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
