Description
The U.S. Air Force's T-7 Systems Program Office is seeking capability information from potential sources able to manufacture and provide a specialized engine shipping and storage container, part number 21C11300G03, designed specifically for the General Electric F-404-103 engine. The container must protect the engine from environmental exposure, shock, and vibration during air, land, and sea transportation and long-term storage. The container must include secure engine mounting, appropriate weight distribution, lifting and tie-down provisions, environmental sealing features such as desiccant ports and humidity indicators, and materials suitable for rough handling and extreme environmental conditions. It must comply with applicable military packaging standards, including MIL-STD-2073-1 and MIL-STD-648. Respondents must submit a white paper of no more than five pages describing company qualifications, relevant experience, CAGE code and UEI, business size and socioeconomic status, facility clearance if applicable, manufacturing capacity, estimated lead times, technical feedback, and potential supply-chain or long-lead-item concerns. This is a Sources Sought/RFI for market research, not a solicitation for proposals or a commitment to award a contract.
