Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to convert two Ford F-350 trucks—one gasoline and one diesel—into EOD response vehicles. The requirement is brand-name-or-equal to a Knapheide Service Body, Part Number 696-2-M, and includes replacing the existing pickup beds with white 56-inch-CA service bodies featuring closed-top cabinets, shelving, sealed double-panel doors, keyed-alike three-point locks, a tailgate, lighting, fuel-fill kits, a locking hard tonneau cover or equivalent, and a 12,000-pound-capacity winch. The conversions must also include LED compartment lighting, pull-out drawers, a steel plate floor, bedliner, step bumper, underbody sealer, E-track cargo restraints, mud flaps, and a PA system with emergency lights and sirens wired to the cab. The customer will drop off and pick up the vehicles. Delivery and performance are scheduled from October 30 through December 31, 2026, and offers will be evaluated on price, technical acceptability, salient characteristics, and delivery schedule.
