Description
The Florida Department of Corrections is soliciting a contractor to operate and manage South Bay Correctional Facility, a 1,948-bed adult male correctional institution. The scope includes facility operations, security and inmate custody, healthcare services, inmate education and academic programs, behavioral and substance-abuse programs, vocational services, staffing, maintenance, compliance, and transition from the current contractor. The contractor must provide organizational and staffing plans, operational and security plans, a health services plan, an inmate programmatic services plan, and a transition plan. The solicitation anticipates a single award with an initial three-year term and successive two-year renewal periods by agreement. The estimated current annual spend is $51,613,004 for informational purposes only and is not guaranteed. Responses must include the required forms, business-experience information, price sheet, reply bond or check, technical narratives, and other mandatory certifications. A mandatory site visit is required, and the solicitation requires electronic submission through the MyFloridaMarketPlace Business Network.
