Description
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal and disposal services. The contract will serve the MTA and its subsidiary agencies: New York City Transit Authority (NYCT), MTA Bus Company, Long Island Railroad (LIRR), Metro-North Commuter Railroad (MNR), and Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA). The selected contractor will be responsible for the removal, transportation, and disposal of various waste streams in accordance with the attached Statements of Work (SOWs). The contract term is five years, with two two-year extension options at the MTA's discretion. Pricing will be based on actual requirements and discounted rates resulting from this RFP. The estimated contract value is between $10 million and $50 million. The MTA has set goals for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) participation at 4%, and Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) participation at 15% each.
