Description
Taft Independent School District is soliciting proposals for Category 1 connectivity, including non-fiber internet-only service, non-fiber transport, and leased lit fiber internet access with bandwidth options from approximately 2 Gbps through 5 Gbps. Services are to terminate at Taft High School - Old and support district-wide use; installation, activation, initial configuration, technical support, and scalable bandwidth options are requested as applicable. The internet-only service specifically requests bids at 2 Gbps, 3 Gbps, 4 Gbps, and 5 Gbps for a three-year term with voluntary extensions. Category 2 requirements include approximately 19 switches, 30 wireless access points, a Sophos XGS 2100 firewall or equivalent with a one- or three-year protection subscription, six UPS/battery backup units, related components, cabling, software, licenses, installation, and configuration. The district also requests basic maintenance or software and license support for switches, wireless access points, and firewall equipment, managed internal broadband services for existing equipment, and a non-E-Rate Smoothwall S14 web-filtering solution for approximately 3,000 to 7,000 users. Proposals must separate eligible and ineligible costs, identify installation and licensing costs, comply with E-Rate and Texas Education Agency purchasing requirements, and include voluntary-extension options where applicable.
