Description
The Municipality of Anchorage, through the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility, is soliciting sealed paper bids for the Parkdown Estates Water Upgrade. The work includes approximately 2,072 linear feet of 8-inch and 12-inch PVC water main, 284 linear feet of 12-inch PVC water main installed by horizontal directional drilling, 1,844 linear feet of 1-inch and 1.5-inch water service pipe, 14 gate valves, four fire hydrant assemblies, 52 keyboxes, temporary water, dewatering, construction surveying, private-property right-of-entry agreements, traffic control, landscaping, and associated fittings and valves. It also includes asphalt removal and replacement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm pipe removal and replacement, fence removal and replacement, and related restoration. The estimated construction cost is between $5,000,001 and $10,000,000. The project is subject to a Community Workforce Agreement, federal and state wage requirements, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise good-faith-effort requirements, and Build America, Buy America requirements. The contractor must submit specified federal certifications, DBE forms, subcontractor information, and a bid bond or certified/cashier's check with the bid. The contract requires substantial completion within 150 days, final inspection within 180 days, and contract completion within 220 calendar days after the effective Notice to Proceed.
