Description
The Cherokee Nation is soliciting bids for complete replacement of the female dormitory roof at Talking Leaves Job Corps. The work includes removal of one existing roofing layer; replacement of deteriorated decking, including up to 120 OSB sheets in the base bid; installation of an Owens Corning or comparable roofing system with Class 3 Chateau Green shingles, drip edge, moisture protection, synthetic underlayment, ridge ventilation, hip and ridge shingles, plumbing flashings, and sealing; removal and reinstallation of the existing lightning protection system; code updates and inspection/recertification of that system; and site cleanup. Bidders must provide a mandatory bid response sheet with total project cost, separate roofing and lightning-protection material and labor costs, decking quantities and unit pricing, subcontractor or in-house performance information for lightning protection, confirmations regarding code compliance, shingle color, and the required 20-year NDL roofing system warranty, estimated duration and anticipated start date, and any exclusions or additional costs. Proof of current Cherokee Nation TERO certification must accompany the bid to receive Indian preference. A copy of the bidder's drug-free workplace statement is also required, or the bidder will be deemed to accept the Nation's statement. The successful contractor must comply with applicable TERO requirements, prevailing wage requirements, and insurance requirements before performing work.
