Description
The Borough of Seaside Park is soliciting proposals from attorneys or law firms to serve as Alternate Prosecutor for its Municipal Court under a one-year contract ending December 31, 2027. Responsibilities include providing prosecutorial services under applicable New Jersey law, representing the State of New Jersey and the Borough in matters within the court’s jurisdiction, attending municipal court sessions when the Municipal Prosecutor is unavailable or has a conflict, and providing scheduling flexibility for special trials. Respondents must demonstrate relevant prosecutorial or Municipal Court experience, New Jersey Bar licensure and good standing, familiarity with Title 39 and Title 2C matters, experience with municipal ordinance violations, sufficient staffing, and no specified adverse-party conflicts involving the Borough within the past three years. The proposal must include an executive summary, staffing plan and resumes, relevant experience, New Jersey presence, conflict disclosures, minimum-qualification documentation, required certifications and affidavits, a completed bid proposal form, and an experience questionnaire with at least three references. Two hard copies and one digital copy are required. Insurance must include workers’ compensation, employers’ liability, and commercial general liability of at least $1,000,000, with the Borough named as an additional insured.
