Description
The Town of West New York is seeking proposals from law firms or attorneys licensed to practice in New Jersey to serve as Alternate Prosecutor for its Municipal Court from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027. The selected provider will provide legal counsel and advice, prosecute municipal cases as a substitute for the municipal court prosecutor, attend and conduct meetings with the police department and officers as needed, and perform other related duties directed by the Municipal Court. Respondents must demonstrate significant New Jersey municipal-court prosecution experience, including experience in an urban environment substantially similar to West New York. Proposals must include firm and attorney information, qualifications and experience, at least four references, staffing and availability information, detailed hourly rates and cost estimates, lawsuit disclosures, and the listed ownership, qualification, intent, non-collusion, accessibility, affirmative-action, minority/woman business enterprise, investment-activity, and Russia/Belarus certification forms. A Business Registration Certificate is required before award and is preferably submitted with the proposal.
