Description
Virginia Works is accepting competitive applications for the Rural Health Transformation Program Earn to Learn initiative. The program will fund eligible employers, groups of employers, intermediaries, and other qualified organizations to establish or expand Registered Apprenticeship Programs and related pre-apprenticeship pathways in rural Virginia healthcare settings, particularly allied health occupations. Allowable activities include program development, curriculum and instructor costs, on-the-job training and related technical instruction, apprentice wage support, supportive services, and workforce-pipeline coordination. Applicants must demonstrate rural eligibility, active SAM.gov registration and a UEI, organizational capacity, required employer partnerships where applicable, and a plan addressing the required scope of work, performance metrics, milestones, sustainability, budget, key personnel, and past performance. Awards are expected to range from $500,000 to $1,500,000 per budget period, with total funding available of $4,679,752.46. The initial performance period runs from October 30, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with possible renewal for up to four additional budget periods subject to satisfactory performance.
