Description
Henrico County is soliciting bids for restoration of a 600-linear-foot stream reach using priority level 2 and natural channel design techniques. The work includes raising the streambed, creating a bankfull bench, grading banks to stable slopes, constructing riffle, step, and pool features, and protecting existing trees. The designed channel is a B4c channel with a steeper step-pool sequence downstream. The project also includes sanitary sewer rehabilitation and pipe replacement. The exposed sewer system must be repaired and buried to protect it for future use. Denuded areas must be reseeded, fertilized, matted, and planted with native woody stems and herbaceous cover. The project site includes county- and privately owned parcels near Parham Road and Cloisters Apartments, southeast of Tuckahoe Library.
