Description
The City of Carson is seeking Statements of Qualifications from firms to serve as the Master Event Operator for Carson X, an up-to-30-day celebration and global village associated with the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games period and the City's 60th anniversary. The selected operator will provide integrated event planning, design management, procurement and subcontracting, site mobilization and build-out, operational readiness, Games-time operations, and closeout services. The scope includes master planning and design coordination; infrastructure, safety, security, transportation, accessibility, sustainability, technology, volunteer, and community-engagement planning; procurement and oversight of audiovisual systems, staging, temporary power and structures, staffing, security, sanitation, and food-and-beverage vendors; event staffing and daily operations; financial controls and open-book cost management; sponsor-fulfillment tracking; site restoration; and after-action reporting. The qualifications-based solicitation requires demonstrated experience with at least three comparable large-scale public or multi-week events within the past 10 years. Responses are limited to 30 pages, excluding the cost file and required general attachments; cost or fee proposals are not requested during the initial qualifications phase.
