Description
The City of Lee's Summit is soliciting unarmed court security services. The contractor must provide trained, uniformed security guards to screen all persons entering the courtroom using city-provided X-ray and metal-detector equipment, patrol and secure the facility, monitor entrances and related areas, respond to security threats and emergencies, prepare activity and incident reports, and assist with first-aid response when needed. Estimated coverage is approximately 100 hours per month, including two guards for eight hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays and one guard for four hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Guards must hold a Class B commission from the Lee's Summit Police Department or an authorized private security license, meet specified physical and communication requirements, complete at least eight hours of basic security training plus site-specific training, and receive customer-service training. The contractor must provide uniforms, badges, supervision, scheduling, replacements, transportation arrangements, and all necessary materials and equipment other than the City's screening equipment. The contract is an indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery arrangement with a one-year initial term, up to four one-year renewals, and a possible six-month transition extension. Bidders must submit pricing, professional licenses or certifications, business-status documentation, three recent references, addenda acknowledgments, a training-program outline, and the required notarized Work Authorization Affidavit and E-Verify documentation.
