Description
The City of Woonsocket is soliciting sealed bids for the procurement, installation, and start-up of a calcite filter and ion exchange water softener for its water department. The project also includes modification of the facility well head and associated mechanical, electrical, process, plumbing, site work, and instrumentation and control work. The successful contractor must begin within 10 calendar days after written notice to proceed and complete construction within 180 calendar days of notice to proceed, including specified intermediate milestones. The solicitation requires contractor licensing, prevailing wages, certified payroll, insurance, and installation. No financial assurances are required for this solicitation; however, required insurance and post-award contract documents apply. Physical bids must be submitted in duplicate, while electronic bids may be uploaded through the designated procurement portal.
