Description
The City of Norfolk is seeking qualified colleges, universities, and technical schools for an ongoing prequalified list of providers offering discounted educational services or benefits to City employees. Benefits may include tuition discounts, price matching, waived application or registration fees, and credit for prior experience. Providers must be accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or regionally accredited by SACSCOC, and must offer for-credit courses and degree-granting programs. Certification preparation courses may also be included. Applicants must submit an executed application, required certifications, organizational and accreditation information, programs and delivery methods, faculty or staff credentials, course catalogs, detailed current and discounted rates, descriptions of fee waivers, price matching, prior-experience credit, and other available benefits. The prequalification is ongoing and will be reopened annually; qualified providers may remain on the list indefinitely unless removed. There is no contractual relationship between the City and selected providers, which will contract directly with participating employees.
