Description
The City of Florissant is soliciting bids for approximately 1,000 tons of Type 1, Grade 1 bulk rock salt, with a stated quantity of 1,000 tons plus or minus 500 tons. The sodium chloride must contain at least 95 percent NaCl, meet the specified particle-size distribution, and include an anti-caking agent. The material must be delivered in a free-flowing, clean, usable condition to the Florissant Public Works Complex. Purchases will be made on an as-needed basis, with delivery required one to three days after each order. Pricing must include all delivery-related costs, including unloading, stockpiling, trucking, and other associated charges. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the procurement portal, a bid guarantee of at least 5 percent of the bid amount, and a performance bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price. A certificate of insurance naming the City as an additional insured is also required with the response.
