Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting quotes from small businesses for tree and woody-vegetation removal on one private property totaling approximately one acre, in support of an airfield Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard Program. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and related services; cut unmarked vegetation to ground level using approved equipment or chainsaws; preserve marked trees; and remove all trunks, limbs, and branches from the site for legal off-site disposal. The contractor must immediately treat each cut stump with Garlon 4 Ultra Herbicide using a compatible blue indicator dye, comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, maintain herbicide usage records, and hold the required Texas commercial pesticide applicator license. The work includes pre-work inspection documentation, site cleanup, repair of contractor-caused damage, and compliance with applicable safety and quiet-hour requirements. Field work must begin no later than September 30, 2026, and be completed by October 30, 2026.
