Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting quotes for two complete commercial off-the-shelf portable handheld multiband tactical/software-defined radio systems for ground-to-air communications. Each system must support VHF and UHF coverage, AM and FM modulation, AES-256 encryption, frequency-hopping and other jam-resistant waveforms, embedded GPS and time synchronization, and interoperability with military and civilian aircraft radio networks. The radios must be ruggedized and compliant with MIL-STD-810G/H, with manufacturer testing before shipment. Each system must include a multiband handheld transceiver, tape antenna, drop-in charger, carrying pouch/lanyard/belt clip, high-capacity lithium-ion battery, and operator and technical manual. Delivery is FOB destination, with standard commercial protective packaging; the contractor must state estimated delivery lead time and provide manufacturer warranty documentation. The acquisition is a 100% small-business set-aside, and quotes must include pricing, technical information, contractor identification, lead time or period of performance, socioeconomic status, discount terms, and required representations and certifications.
