Description
The City of Irvine requires contractors to pre-qualify before bidding on the Great Park Cultural Terrace Phase IV landscape and site improvements project. The approximately 30-acre scope includes demolition, precise grading, storm drainage, curb and gutter, trash enclosures and screen walls, sidewalks, decorative paving, asphalt parking lots, EV charger installation, irrigation, landscaping, and site lighting, with work occurring alongside other building construction. Applicants must complete the City's pre-qualification questionnaire and provide the requested qualification materials. Requirements include a current California Class A and/or B contractor's license, public-works registration, workers' compensation coverage, bonding capacity sufficient for a $42 million project, general liability coverage of at least $5 million per occurrence and $10 million aggregate, minimum annual construction revenue of $75 million, at least five years in business under the current name and license, and qualifying experience on at least two similar projects costing at least $20 million each. One referenced project must be a major park or similar occupied-site improvement performed alongside ongoing vertical construction. The pre-qualification package must be uploaded as a single PDF through the designated electronic bidding system by the stated deadline.
