Description
The Town of Charlestown is soliciting bids for an annual portable-toilet rental services contract covering town-owned facilities and locations throughout the town. The scope includes furnishing standard and ADA-accessible unisex units; delivery, pickup, placement, relocation, cleaning, sanitizing, deodorizing, restocking, maintenance, minor repairs, replacement of unrepairable units, and removal; and proper waste handling and disposal. Standard delivery and pickup must occur within 48 hours of notification, while special events, special uses, and emergencies require service within 24 hours. Units may be added, removed, or requested for weekend, daily, monthly, or other special-event use. The initial term is one year, with up to three additional twelve-month renewal periods at the same cost to specification. The successful bidder must maintain public liability and property-damage, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation insurance, including at least $1,000,000 automobile liability coverage and specified $1,000,000 public-liability limits. Proof of insurance is due after award rather than with the bid. Bidders must complete the provided Bid Form and accompanying Cost Sheet, and bids must remain valid for at least 60 days after receipt.
