Description
The County of Erie is soliciting bids for reactor sand. The sand must be pelletized, hard silica, and fluidized at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. It should have a moisture content not exceeding 1% at the shipping point, be well-washed, and free of chlorides. The sand must not fuse or tend to fuse at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. Specific mesh size requirements are detailed in the specifications. The contract period is from February 15, 2026, through February 14, 2027. The estimated quantity is 70 tons, with a price per ton and delivery cost per delivery specified. The sand is to be delivered on an as-needed basis to Erie County Sewer District #3 at 3690 Lakeshore Road, Buffalo, NY 14219. Pricing should be valid for delivery to any county location. The County reserves the right to order more or less than the indicated quantity.
