Description
Snohomish County Public Utility District is soliciting a lump-sum proposal for overhead transmission and distribution line clearance near Everett, Washington. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, and services to prune, cut, treat, remove, clear, and dispose of trees and brush along approximately 12.3 pole miles of feeders, taps, and associated rights-of-way, including danger-tree removal, stump treatment, slash disposal, and reseeding where mechanized equipment is used. Bidders must be prequalified and listed on the District's Small Works Roster for Category D-1, Right-of-Way Clearing and Maintenance, Tree and Brush Work. The proposal requires a lump-sum price, separate danger-tree removal prices by diameter, and labor and equipment rates for change-order and emergency/storm work. The successful contractor must complete the project within 60 calendar days after the applicable commencement date, provide a full-time qualified supervisor while work is performed, comply with applicable electrical-line-clearance, safety, herbicide, and environmental requirements, and furnish 100% performance security within 10 calendar days after notice of award.
