Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to provide all equipment, materials, labor, transportation, supervision, and quality control necessary for snow plowing services at the Edward MacDowell Lake Project. The work covers approximately 13,400 square feet of administrative areas, 18,900 square feet of parking areas, and 24,000 square feet of the Wilder Street Extension roadway. Snow must be plowed from paved and gravel surfaces, pushed to designated storage areas, and scraped clean without obstructing doors, gates, fences, or culverts. The contractor must provide, at minimum, a three-quarter-ton four-wheel-drive truck and an eight-foot, four-way-angling plow. End-of-season cleanup is also identified in the solicitation title. The bid schedule includes 20 snow-plowing services for the base year and 20 for one option year. Services are generally required within eight hours after a storm, with access provided by 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. The solicitation requires a completed bid schedule, signed SF 1449, signed material amendments, and the completed solicitation survey with technical, personnel, subcontractor, certification, and past-performance information. Pre-work submittals, including an accident prevention plan worksheet, activity hazard analysis, site safety and health officer designation, first-aid and CPR personnel information, safety data sheets, a quality control plan, and applicable certifications and licenses, are required after award and before field work.
