Description
Richland School District No. 400 is soliciting proposals for a pair of high-availability enterprise next-generation firewalls to secure its core network boundaries, data center environments, and internet edge. Each proposed solution must meet specified performance and architecture requirements, including at least 40 Gbps stateful inspection throughput, 20 Gbps inspected threat-prevention throughput, 10 Gbps encrypted-traffic inspection, five million concurrent sessions, high-speed network interfaces, redundant power supplies, and active/passive or active/active high availability. The scope includes firewall hardware, operating-system software and licenses, intrusion prevention, malware and cloud-sandbox capabilities, URL/content filtering, hardware maintenance and software updates, migration, staging, implementation, and up to 40 hours of technical training and knowledge transfer. Vendors must provide E-Rate-compliant cost allocation and a valid SPIN number. Proposed equipment must be currently manufactured, supported for at least seven years after award, and free of equipment from the specifically prohibited manufacturers listed in the solicitation. The initial contract term is three years, with an optional five-year structure and up to two additional one-year extensions, as specified in the RFP.
