Description
The project involves replacing approximately 2,400 linear feet of gravity sewer main and associated laterals, installing new sanitary manholes, reconnecting existing sewer laterals, and abandoning or removing existing sewer infrastructure as specified. Work also includes excavation, bypass pumping to maintain sewer service, testing and video inspection of the installed system, and restoration of pavement, landscaping, and other disturbed surfaces. Existing sewer mains and laterals are presumed to contain asbestos unless testing establishes otherwise. The contractor must prepare and follow a project-specific asbestos work plan, use controlled removal and handling methods, and arrange compliant packaging, transport, and disposal. The scope also includes erosion and sediment controls, traffic management, and required construction documentation.
