Description
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit seeks an executive search firm or individual to support the recruitment of its next Executive Director. The selected consultant will develop a leadership profile and position description with stakeholder input; identify and assess candidates; conduct reference, background, and credential checks; advise the Board throughout the process; assist with finalist interviews and transition planning; and maintain confidentiality. The scope also includes candidate communications, compensation advice, community engagement, and regular progress updates. Proposals must include the required cover letter and a statement of qualifications addressing the firm’s experience, assigned team, approach and work plan, support needs, fees and expenses, compliance with general requirements, references, litigation history, and client-satisfaction practices. The proposal must follow the RFP’s order. The planned selection is November 18, 2026, and the new Executive Director is expected to begin no later than July 1, 2027.
